I bought this as a standalone for my living room to keep an eye on the animals and replace an old 720P. This thing was such a massive upgrade. I mounted this thing on the ceiling and I can now pan through my living room, my kitchen, my kids playroom and the entryway with this one camera. the zoom quality is good enough that if I want to I can read the subtitles on my TV from my smartphone screen and its mounted 20+ feet away from the TV.My one and only complaint is that sometimes it gets stuck staring at the ceiling. I have the camera set to return to home after it tracks motion and for some reason sometimes it pans too far up and I have to manually run a calibration to fix it.other than that this camera is a rockstar and only gets better and more functional if you pair it with the homebase AI features. Plus you can store everything locally on either an SD card on the camera or the home base and never have to pay for a cloud subscription service."
